On Black Friday Converse will open a specialty store in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood. The store will carry exclusive footwear, a brand new men’s and women’s apparel collection and accessories plus customization options.
Converse is really repping for NYC with 20 “I Star Chevron” tees for many of NYC’s hoods including L.E.S., Williamsburg and Coney Island.
The store’s exclusive footwear runs the gamut from classic Chucks to Converse by John Varvatos to Jack Purcell.
Converse put a lot of thought into the “rock and roll” inspired design of the specialty store. If you live in or plan on visiting New York be sure to go and check it out.

As we reported earlier this week, Akomplice, Wish and Falcons FS Thomas DeCoud are having a release party Thursday in the ATL for special collaboration pack. Earlier today the good people at AK gave us the green light to share all of the info about the collaboration.
Limited to 28 (DeCoud’s jersey number) pieces that will only be available at Wish, this exclusive Thomas DeCoud X Akomplice X Wish collaboration package ($35 retail) includes an exclusive t-shirt that is accompanied with one ticket to a Falcon’s home game in the players friend and family seating.
This is a good look on a lot of fronts. DeCoud is a big fashion guy and Akomplice is one of his favorite brands so he’s passionate about the project. For consumers it’s also a win because instead of buying hype, you are buying a quality t-shirt and you get a ticket to an upcoming Falcons home game. Can’t be mad at that.

Tomorrow Akomplice will host a launch event for their new 3-Collab Hat at Tradition in SoCal. The hat was inspired by the experience that AK’s own Mike McCarney’s experience filming Young De’s “Blaze of Glory” video alongside director Matt Alonzo.
The collaborative hat comes in a black box with the “Blaze of Glory” music Video DVD packaged inside. There is front embroidery with a firemen’s crest on the hat plus back embroidery crediting all collaborators.
The hat is available in red and black and black and grey version. This pack is limited to 144 per color-way.

Queens-born sneaker designer Ronnie Fieg is that guy. He’s come a long way from his days as a lowly stock boy at the NYC chain David Z. to selling his creations there. Best known for his fresh collaborations with Asics, he’s stepped it up once again to create the limited (only 252 pairs) Super Red series for you to rock with those summer cargo shorts. Bright red accents over grey fabric, with a textured red sole, you may have to cop these and make them your standout kicks. But we hear that you may have to report to Ebay and do a search, since they pretty much sold out on their release date, May 21st. Cross your fingers. – Nadine Graham
