Hella Tight Rednecks – New Colorway

August 18th, 2010

Rednecks - Twosome

Rednecks - Back

Hella Tight recently dropped the 2nd colorway of the controversial yet very popular “Rednecks” snap-back hat.

A play on the Washington Redskins racist logo/name, the “Rednecks” hat’s crown is a lightweight cotton. The front logo is a mix of raised and flat embroidery. The hat features a burgundy satin undervisor, black satin taping and a burgundy satin highlight on the rear inner strip.

It’s available today at hellatight.com and in-store at True in San Francisco.

Drew Brees Covers Madden ‘11

April 22nd, 2010

mad11x360pftfront

New Orleans Saints Super Bowl winning QB Drew Brees has been selected as the cover athlete for Madden NFL ‘11. Brees beat out Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen and Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne in fan voting (yeah right).

“The Madden NFL franchise holds a special place in popular culture and the cover is a coveted position for players all over the league,” said New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees. “I’m honored to be the first cover athlete chosen by Madden NFL fans and it’s a great way to cap off an amazing year for the Saints and the city of New Orleans.”

Brees says that he’s not worried about  the Madden Curse and for Saints fan’s sakes they better hope he doesn’t fall in line with previous cover athletes.

Fans will also have the opportunity to decide on other Madden features as well. From now until April 26, fans can vote on three match-ups through the Madden NFL website and determine which teams would be featured in the Madden NFL 11 game demo: a Super Bowl rematch, or a replay of one of the Conference Championship games.

Also during the 2010 NFL Draft, fans will have the opportunity to influence rookie player ratings in Madden NFL 11 via online votes on the Madden NFL website.

Redemption Song

April 20th, 2010

This movie requires Flash Player 9

Mike Williams was once thought to be the next great wide receiver to enter the NFL. Drafted 10th overall by the Detroit Lions after being forced to sit out an entire season, the USC Trojans All-American player was a bust almost from the start. Failed attempts at a comeback with the Raiders and Titans were short lived as well.

Now Williams is attempting to make the Seattle Seahawks squad under his former USC coach Pete Carroll and Skee TV is there to document what could be this former can’t miss prospect’s last chance at NFL glory.

Stay tuned to Skee.TV for Mike Williams: Comeback episodes.

March 14th, 2010

This movie requires Flash Player 9

This is the first commercial for RBK’s Zig Tech training shoe featuring Ochocinco. The shoe retails for $100 at select retail stores.

The shoes are ugly to say the least but from what Reebok says, they are super comfortable and lightweight.

Joey Porter was the first NFL player we heard promoting this shoe during media week at the Super Bowl. Where is his commercial?
