Jordan Brand Donates $75K To Dallas Schools
February 12th, 2010

All-Star weekend is about a lot more than the big game and parties. The annual NBA weekend is also about giving back to the community. Yesterday Jordan Brand did that in a big way.
The company and their Team Jordan athletes Dallas-native Michael Crabtree and Gold Medal Paralympian April Holmes along with legendary Texas rapper Bun-B surprised thousands of students from Yvonne Ewell Townview Center, James Madison High School and South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas with a pep rally to boost spirits and raise funds for the deserving schools.
As part of the Jordan Fundamentals Grant Program that supports teachers who motivate and inspire students toward achieving excellence, Jordan Brand selected the three schools to participate in the“Layups for Learning” experience during the All-Star week to demonstrate to local youth the importance of determination, perseverance and continued education for achieving your dreams.
Team Jordan athletes Crabtree and Holmes were surprise guests who took turns addressing their own high school experiences and coaching select students to make layups towards their education. The lucky students successfully completed enough layups to earn $25,000 for each school on behalf of Jordan Brand.

Christian Louboutin Sneaker
February 8th, 2010
Kim Kardashian and Swizz Beats sent out a twitpic of Reggie Bush and Swizz Beats holding what is believed to be the Swizz designed Christian Louboutin sneaker. Not feeling these at all. If you plan on dropping $700 + on a pair of kicks there are a lot better options out there.

True x The Hundreds
January 14th, 2010
The Native Leagues Project is the brainchild of True Clothing’s Hirokazu Sato. The collection is a tribute to the rich legacy of Bay Area sports teams. There will be one design released per month with a different company executing their vision on the concept.
The first design comes from The Hundreds, and what better way to start it off than with paying homage to the Silver & Black.
The Silver color of the tee will be exclusively available from both True retail stores and at trueclothing.net starting this Friday (January 15, 2010). The black color of the tee will be exclusively available from The Hundreds next month.

Madden NFL 10 Review
September 1st, 2009
Madden NFL 10
EA SPORTS
Xbox 360, PS3, Wii
8 out of 10
Let’s be honest when it comes to Madden, besides being the most anticipated game of the year –annually– it’s also the most divisive. Casual football video gamers love embarrassing foes online with their hometown team. Hardcore gaming purists hate on it for being “just a yearly $60 roster update.” Myself, I have to admit a certain affinity for EA’s red headed stepchild, the NCAA franchise. The past three years I’ve touted how much better and fun the collegiate football game was over its professional big brother. No more, this latest iteration has made me a Madden convert and justify the $60 price tag. After the jump »
