Nike Black History Month 2012 Collection

February 7th, 2012

nikelead

On February 11th, Nike will debut their newest limited-edition collection celebrating Black History Month. The 2012 release pays homage to champions: the 1996 USA Basketball Women’s team, the 2008 Kenyan Long-Distance running team (both Olympic Gold winners), and the 2002 Brazil Men’s Soccer team (FIFA Cup winners).

The collection is built on black and grey tones throughout, the only differences being the vibrant graphics on the tongue, the lining, and the tips of the laces. Each item features either a nod to Kenyan beading, Brazilian Carnivale or African-American quiltmaking in the South.

Nike Unveils Lebron 9

September 21st, 2011

lebron-official-1

Even with the lockout, Lebron James knows how to keep his name on everyone’s lips. He and Nike are at it again, with the official unveiling of his Lebron 9 signature show. We’ve seen the Hurricane and China color ways and now we see that the original will feature (what else?) the Miami Heat’s signature hues. The stark white leather uppers contrast sharply with the black weaving on the shoe. The rubber outsole ties it all together in keeping with the Heat’s colorway, adding red and white to the mix. We already know the shoe will be hot in the streets but hoopers should gravitate toward the 9’s as well as they are the first shoe to combine Nike’s Flywire and Hyperfuse technologies into one shoe.

A release date hasn’t been announced but we’ll keep you briefed. In the meantime, the anticipation should keep King James in popular demand. You like that Bron Bron?–Nadine Graham

2K Sports hasn’t revealed a whole lot about NBA 2K12 as of yet but today they did reveal the first screenshot from the upcoming title on their FB fanpage. The shot features Dirk giving Bron and Bosh the business as he did night after night in the 2011 NBA Finals. Keep checking back for more news on the game–especially since this will probably be as close to NBA hoops as we get for awhile.

The “M.I.A. Weak” tee continues to ether Bron Bron while “Fear the Mustache” and “Bring ‘em Back” will hit home with Washington sports supporters.

Lebron Strikes Back

October 25th, 2010

This movie requires Flash Player 9

Leave it to Nike and South Beach Bron to answer the critics with a slick commercial. Aside from the shot at Charles Barkley this is overkill. If the Heat start the season on a winning note then “The Decision” will be a distant memory.

First Look At Lebron VIII’s

September 27th, 2010

This movie requires Flash Player 9

Aside from last years version, I’ve never been a fan of Lebron’s signature kicks but I’m curious to see what they come up with for “South Beach” Bron Bron. Nike will do a full unveiling of the shoe on 9/30. Until then check out the video above for a sneak peak.

King Of The Beach

KINGTEE_BLK2

Love him or hate him, everyone seemingly has an opinion on Lebron James and his decision to “take his talents to South Beach.” Heat fans are elated with the possibility of Bron, Wade and Bosh bringing a title to the 305 and Cleveland fans are still hot but the show must go on. Undrcrwn has dropped a limited edition tee for all the Heat fans and the Lebron supporters that are left. So if you don’t hate Lebron’s guts then head on over to Undrcrwn’s online store and cop the King tee.
