Play Clothes For Fall

September 24th, 2010

Play-Cloths-PCU

The designer(s) of the fall collection from Clipse’s apparel line, Play Cloths has seriously brought the heat. The line is focused on creating pieces that’ll make heads turn for sure. The signature colors for this shipment are bright orange and deep navy- thrown against subtle grey and crisp white, the hues pop just right.

Play-Cloths-Cardigan

There’s the must-have knit cardigan with a shawl collar: it features a solid navy body, bright orange stripes on both sleeves, and a navy and white striped letterman ‘P’ on the chest. Looks like it should hang just right with some jeans that fit and a pair of Timberlands. Another great statement piece is the varsity jacket: patches on the sleeves, striped ‘P’, and their kangaroo “mascot” (”Fighting Roos”) make this topper so hard and one of the flyest of the season. Go see for yourself at select boutiques nationwide or at Play Cloths online shop. — N. Graham

adidas Originals x Eric Bailey

May 3rd, 2010

adidas-originals-eric-bailey-03

adidas has been bringing the heat pretty consistently with their Originals division. How fitting that said heat comes just in time for the summer. This time the line collaborates with San Francisco based artist Eric Bailey for “Americana” Spring/Summer 2010.

Bailey’s self proclaimed vision is “naturalism vs. materialism”- conveyed in oil paintings of gorgeous, gilded, curvy ladies scantily clad alongside forest animals. Sounds crazy, but the pics are dope. Needless to say, his work has been toned down for the side of a hightop basketball shoe. The “Americana” collection will also feature tees, shorts, and hoodies, but the kicks are clearly the stars.–Nadine Graham
