Super Mario Galaxy 2 is, like almost every other Mario game, very similar to its predecessor. If you liked the first one, there’s almost no way you’re not going to enjoy this one, and if you’re in the minority of people who didn’t like the first one so much, this one might have some magic for you.

Wii Classic Controller Pro Review

April 20th, 2010

3D-comp-box_white

Today Nintendo put out a new game controller for their Wii system. Nintendo managed to take all the good elements of the SNES, N64, and Gamecube controllers and put out one good controller. Previously this was only being sold in Japan (man they get everything first), but ya boys at Nintendo finally saw the light and ported this over to the US.

They upped the button count by two, now giving you an extra row of shoulder buttons ala PS3 controllers and the grips give you an overall better feel in your hands. But they lose points for not making this thing wireless; instead you have to plug it into your Wii-mote.

The Classic Controller Pro is available now in black or white for $19.99.  It also comes bundled with Capcom’s Monster HunterTri game for $59.99. –A. Kennedy

Wii Sports Resort Review

August 4th, 2009

Title: Wii Sports Resort

Publisher: Nintendo
Platform: Nintendo Wii
Rating: 7 out of 10

Wii Sports Resort is, at its core, a tech demo to showcase the capabilities of their newest peripheral add-on, the Wii MotionPlus (included in every game.) Much like the pack-in of the original Wii Sports, Resort offers simple pick-up and play mini-games that are more likely to appeal to casual, stay at home moms than the hardcore MMORPG crowd.
