Final Fantasy players generally fall into two categories. Hardcore RPG gamers that must play, beat, and achieve the highest EXP level possible or casual gamers that buy because they’re told to do so. The developers of FFXIII must believe that as well, as they finally produced a game that merges these two genres together into a game that plays more like a Nintendo RPGer than a true, Square Enix game.

Today Square Enix announced that three new battle ready scenarios to be released in 2010 for Final Fantasy XI.
The first of the three battle area add-on content packages, titled “Vision of Abyssea”, is scheduled to launch early in the summer of 2010, and will be followed by two additional releases, “Scars of Abyssea” and “Heroes of Abyssea”. These content packages will be available via the PlayOnline® Viewer, at the price of $9.99 each.
FYI, The previously released expansion packs RISE OF THE ZILART and WINGS OF THE GODDESS will be required to experience this new content. The new content will be available simultaneously on all supported platforms in all supported regions.
