The designer(s) of the fall collection from Clipse’s apparel line, Play Cloths has seriously brought the heat. The line is focused on creating pieces that’ll make heads turn for sure. The signature colors for this shipment are bright orange and deep navy- thrown against subtle grey and crisp white, the hues pop just right.
There’s the must-have knit cardigan with a shawl collar: it features a solid navy body, bright orange stripes on both sleeves, and a navy and white striped letterman ‘P’ on the chest. Looks like it should hang just right with some jeans that fit and a pair of Timberlands. Another great statement piece is the varsity jacket: patches on the sleeves, striped ‘P’, and their kangaroo “mascot” (”Fighting Roos”) make this topper so hard and one of the flyest of the season. The team over at The Hundreds has gone with a concept unlike most other streetwear brands for the upcoming fall season. The seven year old Los Angeles company is offering pieces that pay homage to everyone’s favorite autumn clothes from childhood. This concept is especially strange coming from The Hundreds because how cold does it really get in Southern California during the fall? Despite this theory, they seem to pull it off, from the weathered tees to comfy crewshirts and broken in straight jeans. It seems The Hundreds are just trying to keep us cozy as the temperature drops and the leaves change color. — Nadine G.

Orisue always pushes the envelope on their lookbook shoots. For the fall lookbook the OC brand has used a movie theme. In the motion picture a group of friends are going to their first formal social wine mixer rocking the light jackets, woven button-ups, cardigans, vests, knit shirts and denim from the fall collection.

Flannel is definitely hot for this season. With all the new and often suspect patterns out there it is good to see Upper Playground taking it back to the essence with old school flannel patterns in white, blue and red.
