Pioneer SE-CL331 Earbuds

Finding earbuds that work well for those of us with active lifestyles is difficult. Most times they don’t fit or they sound weak like clock radio speakers (s/o to GZA). Pioneer’s latest inclusion to their headphone lineup aims to appease the hiking and running crowd with a mid-priced ($59 suggested retail) quality earbud.

The SE-CL331 use 9mm drivers for deep bass and come with four different tip sizes for maximum comfort and outside noise reduction. They are also water-resistant and will come in four colors when they hit stores later this month.

Today Urbanears unveiled a new addition to their ever growing lineup. The Bagis

has a rubber housing along with a combined fabric and TPE cord to eliminate distortions caused by friction. The cool thing (besides the variety of colors) about these is that each earpiece snaps together, allowing you to carry them around your neck when not in use. We haven’t had the opportunity to listen to the Bagis yet so we can’t comment on the sound quality but the design is pretty nice.

You can cop a pair here for $30 if you are so inclined.

Burton Tech Acoustibuds

December 7th, 2009

Sometimes the simplest ideas in theory are the best ones in reality. Anyone who has ever copped a pair of earbuds knows that all ears are not equal in size or depth (apparently the people who make those tips are not aware of this) so Burton Technologies launched Acoustibuds at last years CES to fix that problem.

Acoustibuds are soft silicon earpieces that fit over the flat faced headphones that come with iPod, Zune and most mp3 players. They generally make for a better fit, feel and increase sound quality. The much needed accessory is available now for a special holiday price of $12.99 at bestbuy.com and amazon.com

Underground juggernaut Tech N9ne hooked up with Subjekt to release the Ruffian Limited Edition Tech N9ne Series Earphones. The black nickel earbuds sport an intricate skull design keeping in the spirit of Tech’s K.O.D. theme. I’ve never heard of Subjekt and their website doesn’t have any info about the company but Tech is a dope artist so Kuhvet showed love anyway. If you’re interested in copping the earphones go here and drop $59.99.
