This week’s installment features LA by way of Indiana DJ, Franki Chan wearing the Ledger Mid and discussing his ideal shoes and fashion inspirations.

DJ Mars (SuperFriends) just dropped this promo video for New Balance detailing a day in his world. Mars can normally be seen on the 1’s and 2’s supporting some of your favorite artists but he’s also a hardcore sneakerhead. Peep the vid to take a peak at a day in his life.
Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA is the latest artist to be added to the ever expanding DJ Hero 2 lineup. The MC/producer will be featured as a playable character and he also mixed and produced two exclusive tracks featuring LL Cool J “I Can’t Live Without My Radio” mixed With Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five “The Message” and Damian Marley “Welcome To Jamrock” mixed With Walter Murphy “A Fifth of Beethoven.”
“I’m very excited to be involved with DJ Hero 2. As both a DJ and gamer from an early age, the game combines two of my passions,” said RZA. “I loved working with the team and am excited for the fans to hear the two brand-new mixes I put together just for this game. Bong bong!”
DJ Hero 2 hits stores on October 19th.
Activision has announced that there will be over 100 artists represented on DJ Hero 2. The game which launches in October will feature hits from Lady Gaga, B.o.B, Young Jeezy and Rihanna and classic anthems from Eminem, Daft Punk, Dr. Dre, 2Pac, Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder and LL Cool J.
DJ Hero 2 will also come equipped with 2 turntable controllers and a microphone.

Serato and Stones Throw have teamed with the J Dilla Estate for the official J Dilla Serato release, Donut Shop. This is 2 discs with six J Dilla tracks, 2 sides with Serato Control Tone (for use with Serato Scratch Live DJ software), and 2 donut slipmats in a package designed by Studio No.1.
The J Dilla tracks consist of three previously unreleased instrumentals (“Safety Dance”, “Sycamore”, “Bars & Twists”) selected by J.Rocc from the Dilla archives and three unreleased instrumental versions of Dilla’s production for Mos Def, Q-Tip and Busta Rhymes, each remastered by Elysian Masters.
The package will be released May 10th. The pre-order is available now on stonesthrow.com for $34.99.

Before he passed away last year the late great DJ AM was working on a special Dunk with Nike. This is the products of the collaboration. The sneaker sports red and black patent leather with a grey swoosh and AM’s tag on the tongue. Hate to say it but these are definitely >>> than Premo’s AF1.
AM’s kicks drop 1/9/09 at select Nike accounts.
