While other luxury brands are suffering, Bentley is continuing to push forward with high performance opulent vehicles. The latest offering in a very long line of impressive whips is the 202mph Supersports ‘Ice Speed Record’ convertible. This new model. Limited to just 100 cars worldwide, the car is a tribute of sorts to Bentley’s world ice speed record set two weeks ago by Juha Kankkunen in a Bentley Continental Supersports convertible.
The 6-liter, twin turbo-charged W12 engine, produces 631hp and 590lb ft of torque making it the most powerful Bentley ever. Armed with the Quickshift six-speed automatic transmission, it launches the convertible ‘Ice Speed Record’ model from 0-60mph in 3.8 seconds and reaches 100mph from a standing start in only 9.5 seconds.
Both the new convertible and Juha’s record-breaking Supersports will be on display at the Geneva Auto Show starting on March 1st.
