Canon PowerShot SD4000 IS

20100511_loRes_sd4000_red_vertCanon recently introduced the lasted addition to the PowerShot Digital ELPH camera series- the Canon PowerShot SD4000 IS Digital ELPH camera. The SD4000 is the first of the Digital ELPH series to offer a high-sensitivity system, known as Canon’s HS system , with a CMOS sensor and bright f/2.0 lens. It delivers the best image quality and fastest high speed burst (8.4 frames per second)in the series .

The SD4000 camera also has HD movie-shooting capabilities.

The camera will hit stores  in red, silver and black  at the end of May for a $349.99.

Canon Firmware Upgrade

Earlier today Canon sent out a friendly reminder about the firmware upgrade 2.0.3 for the EOS 5D Mark II Digital SLR Camera that will be coming this month. 2.0.3 meets the demands of both professional movie producers and aspiring filmmakers alike by adding 24p video acquisition and changing the 30p video frame rate to 29.97 to comply with TV production standards. In addition, audio capability is enhanced for professional use, adding manual audio level control, and increasing the audio sampling frequency to 48KHz from 44.1KHz.

Saturday Night Live Shoots With Canon Cameras

If you noticed a new look to NBC’s Saturday Night Live (other than the new cast members) it’s because the opening montague to the new season debut was shot with Canon EOS 5D Mark II and the new EOS 7D digital SLR cameras. The concept behind the opening sequence was portraiture as the director and crew looked to capture “living” portraits of the city, the cast and the unique characters that make up the New York City nightlife.
