Safe House, the film starring Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds opens this Friday (February 10) and in anticipation of the opening, the good people at Universal Pictures have released a featurette showcasing behind the scenes footage of the intense fights that take place in the film.
One of the many highlights of the action-thriller is the close quarters hand-to-hand combat. Acclaimed fight choreographer and stunt person, Olivier Schneider (Taken, Unknown, The Transporter), trained Denzel and Ryan for weeks to get them prepared for the rigorous fight scenes. Olivier’s genius is also taken to the next level with the direction of newcomer Daniel Espinosa who takes viewers inside the scenes thanks to his up close and personal style of shooting.

The $1 million perfect game challenge is back and 2K Sports has enlisted the game’s cover athlete for a fairly funny viral video to promote the annual contest. Check out the video below. MLB 2K12 hits stores on March 6.

Five Four clothing recently dropped a pair of cool new tees via their online store. The “Block Block” graphic tee is par for the course for the brand but the “Lifestyle” tee is cool departure from the norm. We may not have a lot of t-shirt wearing weather left but that doesn’t mean you can rock something new and fresh until fall really kicks in. Cop here.

The homies over at konsolekingz.com recently caught up with the hottest comedian on earth, Kevin Hart to preview NBA 2K12. Apparently Hart has been a fan of the franchise for awhile. Check the clip out as he rolls with the champion Mavs in a NBA Finals rematch.
The NBA 2K12 demo hits consoles tomorrow.

Alberta, Canada is not the first place one would think of when it comes to fashion but that didn’t stop the minds behind Bomb Clothing from getting in the game. Their latest collection sees the brand stepping their game up tremendously with several added details. The t-shirts and hats are eye catching but not to over the top. They are very much a lifestyle brand and the gear reflects that. And don’t worry ladies, they have a few pieces for you as well.

Blame it on the lockout or the success of NBA 2K11 but the legendary Michael Jordan is back to cover NBA 2K12 and he brought along two of his equally legendary peers. Today 2K Sports announced that Jordan, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird (The Magic and Bird covers will only be available in limited quantities) will be the cover athletes for the annual hoops game.
The artwork was done by Adam Larson–who also designed the art for Beyonce’s latest album (for the record, this is the first and probably last time Beyonce will ever be mentioned on this blog).
No word on whether Magic and Bird will get the same “great moments” gameplay treatment that MJ (we’d love to play as the 1992 Olympic Dream Team) got or if users will get even more Jordan moments. NBA 2K12 hits stores October 4.

Jordan Brand has released a bunch of AJ1’s over the last couple years and unfortunately many of them haven’t lived up to the legacy of the original. The latest in the lineup are fairly dope though. The Air Jordan 1 Mid Phat in all white with carbon fiber accents is perfect for summer and the White/Obsidian colorway is ill as well. Both are expected to hit select retailers in July.

As 10.Deep’s “Pop Off Shop” closes in LA, the brand and their Left Coast host Hall of Fame are releasing a collaboration. The 10.Deep x HOF Triple D Snapback will drop exclusively at the Pop-Off Shop and here on Wednesday, January 19th at 12pm PST/3pm EST.

It seems that David Stern’s wish has been granted as the NY Knicks have returned to relevance. With Amare and Raymond Felton having monster years, the team enlisted DJ Steve Porter to put together an NBA All-Star game voting video/song titled “#1 Reason to Vote Knicks.” The video features a who’s who of celebrity Knickerbocker fans as well as a few real blue and orange supporters. Check out Fabolous, Drake, Whoopi Goldberg, Tracy Morgan, Chris Brown, Donald Trump, one of those Jersey Shore clowns and many more in the video above.

We haven’t run to many fitness stories on kuhvet but given that many of us have put on a few holiday pounds we figure now is as good a time as any.
