Benny Gold leaked a photo of one of projects he’s working on with JanSport on his blog earlier this week. From what we can tell, the Right Pack features a large BG logo on front and an american flag on the side panel. It doesn’t get anymore original than JanSport. this is a collaboration that we fully support. Stay tuned for more info.
Upper Playground is releasing the newest book from illustrator Tomer Hanuka, “Overkill.” The book covers, comics and editorial renderings over 104 pages.
UP is also re-releasing two tees designed by Tomer Hanuka. The book and tees are available now via their online store.

Converse is known for bridging sneakers/lifestyle with music so today’s announcement came as no surprise. The iconic brand released the brand new song “I’m A Goner“ by pop duo Matt & Kim, Soulja Boy and singer-songwriter Andrew W.K. as part of the their Three Artists. One Song collaboration. The song is available for free download at www.converse.com/music. On August 21 at 1:30 PM EST MTV2 will premiere the music video for “I’m A Goner” during the airing of the “MTV2 Presents: Converse Band of Ballers” basketball tournament.
The song is okay but Converse gets props over here for thinking outside the box.
This Saturday Benny Gold and German accessory brand Alkr are releasing a special set of iPhone 4 cases.
As we would expect there are a lot of fly details throughout the cases including: ultra slim construction, inside rubber coating for scratch protection, high gloss spot varnish and gold metallic raised printing.

G-Shock and GLOBE are collaborating for only the second time ever on a boardsport inspired capsule collection. This time the collabo includes a co-branded watch, cruiser board and a Comanche boot.
The grossly underused GRX5600GE-1 is done in matte black with a red LCD face. The watch features the GLOBE logo on the face and band. Today Hennessy unveiled the limited edition VS bottle by KAWS. The bottle features designs any KAWS fan is familiar with. Only 420,000 bottles (can that still be considered limited) were produced and they will hit stores in the next few weeks. Drink up!

Bay Area retailer/brand True will be 15-years-old this Saturday, July 16, so of course the are throwing a massive party. They will have a food, the best DJ’s in the Bay and an exclusive anniversary drop to set it all off.
True East in Concord, CA will also be having a 5th Anniversary shindig the same day.

Los Angeles is the place to be for the sports world this month. The City of Angels recently hosted the Espy Awards and in a couple of weeks they will host the 17th annual Summer X Games. DC endorsed athletes have dominated the games for awhile and this year they could potentially win their100th X Games medal. 13 of those stellar athletes will be on hand July 27th at the DC store in Los Angeles for a huge autograph signing.
