If you’ve ever spent any time in Atlanta during the summer you know that it is unbearably hot. One of the main reasons for the temperature is lack of tree cover. Trees Atlanta is doing their best to return the city of Atlanta to it’s green past by planting more trees. The organization has partnered with Atlanta lifestyle brand The Honorary Citizen (THC) in an inventive program where proceeds from select THC purchases go to support Trees Atlanta.
The program continues through Georgia Arbor Day on February 17, 2012

Benny Gold teamed up with Real Skateboards for a couple decks distributed in Japan only. They sold out pretty quickly but he just released a couple new colorways in the BG online store.

Yassin Bey b.k.a. Mos Def hasn’t released an album in a minute but he continues to expand his portfolio. Bey’s most recent venture comes courtesy of Fellowship Mission, a collective that features Bey as well as Union owner Chris Gibbs. FM does not have a clear cut path as of yet but we can expect fashion to be a major part of their output. The first product to come from FM is the oil based Harun No. 7 cologne. Sold exclusively at Union, Harun No. 7 contains woodsy, spicy, Indian attar, with a citrus top note. Like traditional oils, it can be worn as a fragrance or burned in the crib.

G-Form is best known for their RPT (Reactive Protection Technology) and in order to prove that their rugged cases are legit they put the Extreme Edge and Extreme Portfolio iPad cases through a couple insane tests…and they taped it.
There are a lot of iPad cases on the market but we haven’t seen any of them protect the tablet from falling 1300 feet or being thrown from a moving car.

Later this week many of Atlanta, GA’s top gentleman (and ladies) will come together to smoke cigars, sip Remy and play poker for a great charity. Cognac & Cigars: Gentlemen for a Cause will benefit Sporty Girls Inc. –an organization launched in 2007 to promote activity and provide young minority girls the opportunity to participate in non traditional sports including golf, swimming, soccer and tennis.
Complimentary cocktails will be provided by Remy VSOP, cigars will be provided courtesy of Don Abram Harris Cigars, the first African-American cigar manufacturer, and poker tables will be available with special prizes for the top male and female contenders.
Fellas, if you have daughter, female sibling or family member who is interested in prep sports, this is an organization you should be supporting.
It all goes down from 6-10pm November 10 at Coposhi Boutique. Tickets are available here..

Benny Gold leaked a photo of one of projects he’s working on with JanSport on his blog earlier this week. From what we can tell, the Right Pack features a large BG logo on front and an american flag on the side panel. It doesn’t get anymore original than JanSport. this is a collaboration that we fully support. Stay tuned for more info.
