Due to the success of the first Akomplice X Hiero collaboration, the two companies have decided to partner again to do bigger and better things. The Ak X Hiero Mini-Series includes two hyperlight t-shirts, a hyperlight snapback hat and two varsity jackets.
The hyperlight technology is a new look for Akomplice. How it works is, when sunlight hits the bill of the hat it turns red and when it hits the Hiero logo on the t-shirt, the Akomplice bubble logo appears in the background.
The zip-off hoodie varsity jackets are made with wool bodies, cotton sleeves and satin lining.
The collaboration drops this Friday via Akomplice online store. In the meantime you can check out the free download of the exclusive track “Slaughter.”

Pink Dolphin just released images of their “very rare” Holiday 2011 gear. The heavily anticipated collection features new t-shirts ($24), fleece crewnecks ($60), hoodies ($75), snapback hats ($35), beanies ($35) and two limited edition rare varsity jackets ($300). Many of the pieces look like things we’ve seen before from PD which will make some brand loyalists happy, considering that PD does not restock sold out items.
The entire collection will be available on Black Friday online and at retailers on Black Friday at Midnight EST (and 9pm PST).

The team over at 10.DEEP push the boundaries of streetwear with every collection they come up with. Admittedly, they say that this winter’s set was inspired by “risk-taking.” The crew has created pieces that they say dabble in sport, style, sex and battle. We’re not sure where the “sex” plays in, but “sport, style, and battle” is apparent in every crewneck, flannel, varsity jacket, and navigator cap.
The varsity jackets come in a variety of materials and prints, including one in camoflage with saffron-colored accents (the Black Cats Letterman) and another in a solid navy with white detailing (the Baseball Division Jacket). The sweatshirts are pretty eye-catching as well, including one 95ers Victory Crewneck and another Jaguar Crew which has an embroidered patch of the black cat on the back and ‘Life’s a Gamble’ stiched in underneath. If that’s not a sport-inspired, risk-taking battle cry, I don’t know what is. 10.Deep has been all about style since their very first collection and the guys just seem to be getting better with every go-round, always displaying some audacity and courage in design. Maybe that’s the sexiness they were referring to. You can pick any of 10.DEEP’s winter items up now from their webshop or select retailers.–Nadine Graham

The collection is the most detailed and streamlined of any releases from the line. It’s good to see a streetwear line drop an entire collection that stays true to a particular theme with each piece.

Benny Gold released a teaser photo for his collection with Jansport a couple weeks ago and today he dropped a video further detailing the collaboration. Gold, like most of us, grew up rocking Jansport and he is very excited about working with the seminal company. The Benny Gold x Jansport Right Pack will be available exclusively at Gold’s SF retail store later this month.

When GQ Magazine ran a story on snapback hats the adjustable headwear officially jumped the shark as far as we’re concerned but that is not going to stop cool guys from rocking’ them. Benny Gold’s winter headwear collection features four different styles with the Troop 16 being our favorite.

Thanks to a cease and desist letter from New Era, Benny Gold was forced to reinvent the classic “Doughboy” hat that the brand has been selling for a few seasons now. Apparently the fitted juggernaut thinks that this, too closely resembles this. Oh well, as Nas once said “No Idea’s Original.” The new “Doughboy” design a 1 and 6 (a nod to Gold’s 16th Street San Francisco retail store location) to make a gothic G.
All three colorways are available now at the BG store.

Bay Area based Buddha Apparel has flipped one of their more popular graphic tee designs into an interesting pendant. The nickel plated “SF Hand Sign” is 1.5″ w x 2″ h and comes with a 30″ chain. I can see hipster females rocking this way more than dudes, but who knows? The pendant is available here.
