NuVision will be releasing the first HDTV in the highly anticipated Lucidium FX5 series.
The 42″ display will be available this month and it’s a beauty. The series combines proprietary Film Times Five (FX5) and Frame Forward Motion (FFM) technologies to create a true 120Hz picture. Many displays use smoke and mirrors to duplicate 120Hz when they are actually running at 60Hz and it looks good as long as the action is moving from left to right but when it goes in reverse the display will show at 60Hz. The 42″ FX5’s price tag is a little steep at an MSRP of $1999.99 but this isn’t your normal straight out of an electronics super store display. The LCD HDTV comes with a standard 2-year manufacturers warranty that includes the standard warranty jargon plus home servicing from the dealer for the life of the warranty. Not bad at all.
