The Fast and Furious franchise has seen more ups and downs than a seesaw. Remember 2 Fast, 2 Furious or the Bow Wow led Tokyo Drift? Yeah, us neither. Fast & Furious 6 director Justin Lin has completely revamped the series over the last two films, making the storylines tighter and the action more impactful.

The NBA’s reigning Rookie of the Year Damian Lillard will be signing autographs at Compound Gallery (107 NW 5th Ave.) in Portland tonight between 6:00 and 7:00pm. This is one of the few spots that his limited edition adidas “Rookie of the Year” Real Deal basketball shoe will be available.
Only 510 pairs (get it 510, Oakland area code) will be available for $120 at Compound, Shoe Palace and adidas.com.

Our homies over at Akomplice are known for making shirts with a message. Their latest group of tees hits a variety of topics including the illusion of time, McDonald’s, forestry, etc. Of course they aren’t straight ahead, we get the same satire that the brand has won with in the past. Cop here.
A few of you have been waiting on UP to release their 5 Panel hats. They are currently available on their webstore in four colors for $29. The branding is a little blatant but if that is your thing then these are a good pick for the summer.
If you’ve ever read anything I’ve ever written then you could probably deduce that Tyler Perry products are not my cup of tea. I commend Perry on what he’s accomplished in Hollywood but that is about as far as it goes.
Perry’s name is plastered all over The Peeples–which opens today–but thankfully for the portion of the population that isn’t into Madea, he is a producer on the project and not a writer/director. The Peeples was written/directed by first time director Tina Gordon Chism (DRUMLINE, ATL).

If you follow this blog you know that we lean left when it comes to our allegiances. While we were on twitter recently we came across a tweet from the legendary MC Hammer.
With an endorsement from Hammer, we had to check out the shirts. Turns out they are dope. Real Oakland–which has been in business for a year–uses a tried and true tee formula but it doesn’t come across stale. They have more designs on the horizon but in the meantime you can buy their flagship shirt in multiple colors here.

Today adidas unveiled the latest colorway in their upcoming hoop shoe, the Crazyquick. The shoe is designed for quickness, it features an innovative four quick zone outsole for increased traction and flexibility. It’s not bad looking either as it comes with eye-popping infrared laces and a black camo pattern upper.
The Crazyquick Black-Lead colorway drops May 1 at Foot Locker, Eastbay and adidas.com and is available for pre-order beginning April 17.
ATL based brand Vintige has been off the scene for a minute but they are returning this spring with a brand new collection of tees, hoodies, snapbacks, tanks and more. The line features branded gear as well as graphic tees that the brand is known for. In order to do it big this time out, the owners have started a Kickstarter campaign to fund the spring line. They are nearly half way to their goal with a few weeks left. If you’re so inclined you can donate a buck and up here.
